In our area, which is the Lake Sunapee Region of New Hampshire, we pride ourselves with the fact that we are in a more relaxed atmosphere which is why many find this Lake Sunapee Area a great spot to vacation and have a second home. There is much to do all year around as we have first class skiing right in our back yard with the Mount Sunapee Resort in Newbury being the second busiest ski resort in the state and we also have Pat’s Peak in Henniker and Ragged Mountain in Danbury which both are less than 25 minutes away. We also have the beautiful Lake Sunapee which is the largest, a 4028 acre lake, right in the middle of a number of smaller lakes such as Lake Massasecum (a 400 acre lake in Bradford), Lake Todd (a 168 acre lake) in Bradford and Newbury, Lake Blaisdell (a 158 acre lake) and Kezar Lake (a 181 acre lake) both in Sutton, Otter Pond (a 170 acre lake), Mountain view Lake (a 104 acre lake) and Perkins Pond (a 157 acre lake) all three in Sunapee, Pleasant Lake (a 605 acre lake) and Little Lake Sunapee (a 472 acre lake) both in New London and Baptist Pond (a 98 acre lake) and Lake Kolelemook (a 98 acre lake) both in Springfield.So you can see we are a vacation area with many fine lakes and mountains surrounding this area.
